Mid-Summer Greetings!

Oh, yes, it's hot in the Okanagan Valley!  However that gets me up early to enjoy my walk when the temperature is lower after which I retreat into my studio for the day.

I've been busy completing commissions from flower enthusiasts from as far back as two years ago        (none of which are featured here).  During the spectacular July  FCA COC show I painted n the Peachland Gallery.

Featured here are three of my pink paintings.

Lower left is the just completed 'Beguiling" peony which blooms with a variety of hues in its petals creamy yellow, white, orange, pink through to fuchsia blossoms.  The leaves on a peony have a lavish structure which I wanted to bring to the viewers' attention.  A small bud is about to burst open, displaying the same delicate petal colours.

Upper centre, 'Captivating', a deep red to pink petalled peony is festooned with pale green foliage and deep green petals of its own. This painting won an Honourable Mention in the annual FCA SOS show this year and has been featured at Picture This Gallery in Penticton.

Upper right, "I'm Yours' is a 20 X 20" palest of pink peony with a rich burgundy centre and golden petals and sepals inviting you in. This painting was featured in the hallway of the OASIS show in Peachland throughout July.
